Twilight Inspired 2023 Makeup Trends?

2023 calls for everything fresh new, and sometimes recycled. Although, recycled isn't always a bad thing. It's just a trend brought back up with a new generation's twist. As we've seen this past year with beauty trends such as the Siren vs Doe eyes debate that sparked conversation after creator Hayley Bui which caught the attention from over 17 million viewers. Many may argue who created the look but the elongated, smokey, upturned, smudged eyeshadow look could be dated back to the 90's as pictured below.

Moving Away From Warm Tones and Into Cool Tones

Going into the new year, the gals are getting into their twilight era. Yes, years later and it's still relevant. Along with the love for dark aesthetics, this trend is bound to blow in 2023.

Sleepy, Vamp, Dead Eyes

While the twilight era is upon us with cool toned eyeshadow, contour, and more is at its rise to fame.. so is the "dead eyes" look. Believe it or not your morning face you dread after being up all night scrolling through TikTok is actually very trendy. Yup, say bye to the fresh concealed you and just go with the out of bed face. Seriously, dead eyes are the new trend of makeup. With the twilight inspiration, Emily blunt from The Devil Wears Prada, and many more actors hold the title for this trend. How to create this look you ask? Unlike siren eyes, shape your eyes with eyeshadow or liner in a downward motion in a dark color and blend out with a red undertones shadow. Oh, and DO NOT conceal. It's our time to let our sleepless nights shine girl!
