Scared To Try Blush As A Black Girl? READ THIS  💗

Blush is the final touches for any makeup look. It's essential for bringing back the natural flush to your face. Girls, we have to agree that it just makes a look, look so much more flirty. However, there is a long time myth that girls of color just can't wear blush. MYTH! A complete myth. Although it can be hard to find blushes for darker skin tones due to problems like ashy-looking flashback, too powerful on the face, or just not showing up at all. As a MUA and a beauty brand's founder, I'm here to tell you it is possible.

Knowing Your Undertone

When it comes to finding the best blush for your shade, I believe it all starts with finding your undertone. Your undertone is your skin's natural flush of color below your skin's surface. Think of how your natural skin looks in the sun.

- Do you look cool, peaks of red under your eyes, and more deep in your summer selfies? Have blue veins on your wrist? Look better in silver jewelry? More than likely you're a cool undertone.

- Do you look golden and sun kissed in summer selfies? Do you look peachy or slightly yellow when wearing white? Have green vines on your wrist? Gold jewelry flatters your skin? More than likely you're a warm undertone.

- Do you have both deep and sun-kissed moments with both green and blue veins on your wrist, you tan and burn in the sun, you look flattering in both gold and silver jewelry? You're more than likely a neutral shade undertone.

Blush Best For Your Undertone

Now I could tell you that blushes that are warm-based such as red, orange, etc are best for warm undertones. Cool undertones work best with berry, mauve, and plum-based blushes. But I don't really believe in limiting colors you can go for in makeup because makeup should be fun, versatile, and inclusive. So here's my favorite blush that doesn't limit your options (especially for beginners) because I believe in easing the struggle and getting it right the first time!
